Information Technology/Audio Visual Technician

General Work Hours: 35 hours/week; Monday, 12pm-8pm; Tuesday- Thursday, 12pm-9pm; Friday, 12pm-4pm (must be flexible to work additional hours when needed)

Location: Midtown Manhattan

JOB FUNCTION
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Training and supporting City Bar employees’ PC related requirements and upgrading/imaging local Desktop PCs and laptops.
  • Setting up, troubleshooting, managing Audio Visual equipment, and Zoom meetings/webinars
    • Note: Approximately 65% is for IT work and 35% of the time is on A/V work
  • Collaborates as part of an implementation team on larger projects and individually provides services on support calls
  • Providing user support and training, and documenting the solution for ongoing support
  • Supporting the Data Network and involved in troubleshooting PC and A/V equipment, computers, printers and network/AV equipment inventory
  • Participating in the development of quality assurance steps, technical standards and operational procedures 
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 6 months of relevant work experience required (internships and school projects acceptable)
  • Understanding of IT and A/V technologies and hands-on experience working with IT equipment effectively
  • Microsoft Windows Networking
  • Windows desktop and server platform knowledge
  • Basic printer troubleshooting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • Working knowledge of HTML
  • Customer service experience a plus
  • Good communication skills with a polite demeanor
  • Strong time management skills and able to prioritize workload effectively
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds (equipment set-ups and relocations)
  • This is an on-site position 100% of the time; must work in the office
  • Able to work additional hours when needed for events or to cover for others on occasion
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. We are not able to sponsor visas for this position.

Starting salary for this role is $48,500 - $50,500 (based on experience) for a 35-hour workweek; additional pay provided for hours worked beyond 35.
